What the widget does

The widget exports Kommo chat messages to a CSV file: date, direction, author, channel, contact, lead and message text. The file is UTF-8 with a BOM, so Excel opens Cyrillic and other letters correctly.

How to export

  1. Open Settings and the Chats export to CSV widget.
  2. Choose the period.
  3. Click Export. The file downloads to your computer.
  4. If there are no messages in the period, the widget says so and does not create a file.

Columns

Date, Direction, Author, Role, Channel, Entity, ID, Name, Contact, Phone, Responsible, Stage, Text, Media, Link.

  • Author and role: a manager (user name) or a client (contact name).
  • Channel: Telegram, WhatsApp and other chat sources.
  • Name, stage and responsible user come from the card the message belongs to. For a lead this is the lead name and stage.
  • Phone is filled only when the contact has a phone number.
  • Link opens that card in Kommo.

How to open the CSV

Excel. Open the file. If the columns are stuck together, use Data → From Text/CSV, encoding UTF-8, comma separator.

Google Sheets. File → Import → Upload. Choose the CSV and the comma separator.
